Arturo Tovar-Romero

 

Degrees: Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, Mexico, Attorney at Law, 1981. Post Graduate Work: University of San Diego, 1984, Harvard Law School, 1986 and Universidad Panamericana, 1993.

Experience: Mr. Tovar practiced law in the law firms Goodrich Riquelme y Asociados and González Calvillo, S.C., in Mexico City from 1977 to 1990. He was Director of the Legal Department at Arancia Grupo Industrial, one of the most important business groups in the State of Jalisco, from 1990 to 1999. In 1999 he founded the law firm Tovar, Velazquez y Garcia, currently Tovar Romero & Garcia Uvence Abogados.

Memberships: Member of the Mexican Bar Association and the National Association of Corporate Lawyers, in which he was president of the Jalisco Section from 2000 to 2001. International Member of the American Bar Association.

Teaching Engagements: Lecturer on Corporate Law, Graduate Division, Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara, Mexico. He also participates as exponent in diploma courses and symposiums of several lawyers and public accountants associations.

Areas of Specialization: Corporate Law, Banking, Real Estate, Joint Ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions and Foreign Investment.
